Ski Professor runs private ski and snowboard lessons in three resorts, and the rates differ in each one. This page explains how our pricing works and what every booking includes — pick your resort below for its exact rates.

In Bansko and Gudauri you pay per person, per hour — and the more people in your group, the less each person pays. A private (1-person) lesson starts at €60/hour; add people and the per-person rate drops. Val Thorens works differently: there you book with the local ESF school on a per-session tariff, so the price covers the whole group.

Hebrew-speaking instructors are scarcer and priced a little higher from two people up. English, Russian, Bulgarian, Georgian and French are all standard rate.
Example: 3 people × €35/person/hour × 2 hours = €210 for the whole group.

Deposit & Payment
- A 20% deposit confirms your booking. The balance is paid before your first lesson.
- Full refund, issued automatically, if your booking is declined by the instructor.
- No refund for voluntary cancellations or no-shows — see our Refund Policy for the exceptions (medical, resort closure, cancelled flights).
- Prices are per session for one group. Adding a second person to a private lesson always costs less than booking two separate privates.

How Many Lessons Does a Beginner Need?
Most first-time skiers need 2–3 private lessons of about 2 hours each to link turns and confidently ski a green (beginner) slope. Because a private instructor focuses entirely on you, progress is faster than in a group class.
For a full week on the mountain — from your very first turns to comfortable blue runs — plan on 4–6 sessions. Children usually progress well with shorter, more frequent sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pricing
Why do prices differ between resorts?
In Bansko and Gudauri we work with our own certified instructors and set the rates ourselves. In Val Thorens we book you with ESF, the French national ski school, on their published tariff — a different pricing model entirely (per session rather than per person).
Do I need to pay the full amount upfront?
No — a 20% deposit confirms your booking. The balance is paid before your first lesson.
Is the deposit refundable?
A full refund is issued automatically if your booking is declined by the instructor. The deposit is non-refundable for voluntary cancellations. See our Refund Policy for exceptions (medical, resort closure, cancelled flights).
Can I add a second person to a private lesson?
Yes, and it is always cheaper than booking two separate privates. In Bansko and Gudauri the per-person rate drops as the group grows; in Val Thorens the session price covers up to 4 people.

In Bansko and Gudauri, Hebrew-speaking instructors are priced a little higher from two people up, because there are fewer of them. English, Russian, Bulgarian, Georgian and French are all standard rate.
