Val Thorens works differently from our other resorts. Rather than our own instructors, we book you with ESF — the French national ski school — on their published tariff. That means one price per session covering up to 4 people, and rates that change with the season rather than with your group size.

Pricing Notes for Val Thorens
- One session price covers up to 4 people. A solo lesson and a lesson for four cost the same.
- Rates move with the French school-holiday calendar: low season is the cheapest, high season (early February to early March) the most expensive.
- A Hebrew-speaking instructor carries a +50% surcharge in Val Thorens — ESF has very few, and they are requested specially.
- Some session types have booking constraints: lunchtime sessions need a minimum of three consecutive bookings, and afternoon sessions are weekly-only.
Deposit & Payment
- A 20% deposit confirms your booking. The balance is paid before your first lesson.
- Full refund, issued automatically, if your booking is declined by the instructor.
- No refund for voluntary cancellations or no-shows — see our Refund Policy for the exceptions (medical, resort closure, cancelled flights).
- Prices are per session for one group. Adding a second person to a private lesson always costs less than booking two separate privates.

Why is Val Thorens priced per session and not per person?
